Transforming Higher Education for a Sustainable Tomorrow

The AIWEST-DR introduces its 5th Annual International Workshop and Expo on Sumatera Tsunami and Disaster Recovery which will be held in Banda Aceh, November 23-25 2010.

Stemming from the very apparent change in global climates and more severely, the negative effects it has had on mankind, this workshop would be a great opportunity for people of all walks of life to come together and share their experiences in disaster related issues.

As the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 2004 tsunami-devastated regions continues, questions remain on how this rebuilding effort contributes to building disaster-resilient communities and better environment as well as preserving the legacy of the worst natural disaster of the century for future generations.
